HomeBase Poetry has been consistently serving the Arizona poetic community for 8 years and it is now time to celebrate our 8th Anniversary! Thousands have enjoyed all of the amazing poets and artist who have graced our stage. Performers and writers have been born at our open mic and gone on to have amazing careers. Couples have even met their eventual spouses (what do you expect when beautiful people get together). We have introduced Arizona to some of the best venues even hosted concerts with national soul artists. And our HomeBase Holiday Parties are AMAZING-and they are back!!!

So this MLK weekend, on Sunday January 15th, we will be celebrating our 8 year anniversary with all the things that you love-local open mic list, great music by DJ Showtime, great drinks, all hosted by local hero TOMAS and yours truly-HB ! And to help us celebrate we will are bringing back from Oakland, CA the juggernaut himself I AM JONES!!!!! And joining him will be Karimah and Newlee Made the amazing poetry crew from Nashville Tennessee Writers’ Block!!!

And of course right after the open mic and featured performers we having our HOMEBASE HOUSE PARTY!!! DJ BlueDice is going to be spinning the best REAL music for us all! After 8 years, you know we are good at this!

AND all of it will be held at the beautiful and sexy Club DWNTWN venue (big shout out to PoeticSoul) at 702 N. Central Ave, downtown Phoenix. Free parking, no drink minimum, no extra charges….
